February 4, 2025 Regular Session: Mayor Sedlacek called the meeting to order, and roll call was taken. PRESENT: Mayor Sedlacek, Council members Neumann, Reedy, Riensche ABSENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Employee Milton Pike, Verlyn Dodge Notice of the Regular Hearing/meeting was given in advance by posting in at least three public places as shown by the certificate of posting placed on file. Notice of the hearing/meeting was simultaneously given to the Mayor and all members of the City Council and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt and agenda are placed on file. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the advance notice to the Mayor and City Council of the hearing/meeting. Motion (Neumann) , second (Riensche), 3-0 affirmative vote to approve the minutes of the January 21, 2025 Regular meeting of Mayor and Council. CLEAN-UP/VEHICLES: Motion (Reedy), second (Riensche), followed by 3-0 affirmative vote for Certified letter ( by Carothers) to one individual. Dodge requested the City to send courtesy letter to individual that she might use to encourage the removal of a fifth-wheel camper left on her property. CITY PARK GRANT APPLICATION RESULTS (IF AVAILABLE): Mayor Sedlacek contacted Jarod McKeever by phone for the outcome of the Morris grant application. McKeever indicated that $20,000 was awarded, bringing pledged funds up (with Area Fund grant) to approx. $50,000. A second cycle application will be made to the Morris Foundation (June) for remaining needed funding, with potential applications for other area grants. Pike suggested that members of the Park Committee (Riensche, Reedy) meet with him at the park (Spring) for determination of location for the structure. CATTLEMENS’ BALL/WELCOME/ BANNER ACROSS STREET, 4x8 SIGN AT CITY STONE SIGN: CITY AND ONE PROPERTY AT A TIME COOPERATIVE EFFORT: No new information. Pike told that everything is running, but indicated it might be time to look for a replacement for the dump truck.
