November 19, 2024 The Regular Meeting of Mayor and Council of Blue Springs, Nebraska, was held starting at 7 PM, November 19, 2024, at the Blue Springs City Hall. Mayor Meyer called the meeting to order, and roll call was taken. PRESENT: Mayor Meyer, Council members Neumann, Reedy, Riensche, Sedlacek ABSENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Verlyn Dodge, Heather McKinney Notice of the Hearing/meeting was given in advance by posting in at least three public places as shown by the certificate of posting placed on file. Notice of the hearing/meeting was simultaneously given to the Mayor and all members of the City Council and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt and agenda are placed on file. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the advance notice to the Mayor and City Council of the hearing/meeting. Motion (Neumann) , second (Riensche), 4-0 affirmative vote to approve the minutes of the November 5, 2024 Regular meeting of Mayor and Council. Motion (Riensche), second (Neumann), 4-0 affirmative vote to approve claims as follow: Bank Direct - NE Dept. of Revenue (10) - 102.86; Payroll - $2,954.65; Barco Municipal Products - $671.52; Black Hills Energy - $99.83; Fairbury Journal - News - $75.13; Farmers Cooperative - $30.00; Jerry’s Diesel - $455.00; Lauby Plumbing/Heating/Air - $3.58; Connie Mewes - $10.00; NE Public Health Environmental Labs - $15.00; Norris Public Power - $981.87; Postmaster - $258.00; R. L. Tiemann Construction (Crack Sealing # 2) - $15,120,00.00; Security First Bank - (IRA/Pike) - $55.00; Visa - $959.31; Windstream - $102.85; TOTAL CLAIMS: $21,894.60 AND From Keno Proceeds - Papa B’s Keno & Grill - $387.43. PLANNING & ZONING - APPLICATION FOR BUILDING PERMITS (as submitted): Following recommendation to approve by P & Z Commission, motion (Reedy), second (Sedlacek), 4-0 affirmative vote to approve Building Application Permit 24-9 (Randy/Janet Roberts - replacement cabin ) - Cottonwood@the Springs. DEMOLITION PROJECT: No new information. CLEAN-UP/VEHICLES: No new information. PAPA B’S (BORGMAN) VACATING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY, EASEMENT/ORDINANCE #478: No new information. CITY PARK RESTROOM/APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS: No new information. CRACK SEALING: Second round complete. PROBLEMATIC WATER SERVICE LINE PLANS/MATERIALS COST: Pending further cost-analysis for discussion at the next Regular meeting.
